Since 2015 we have been working with a number of hospices and other providers examining patient and carer experiences, scoping end-of-life care, reviewing a new Hospice@Home service and talking to non-users.
We have applied a specifically designed Trajectory Touchpoint Technique to conduct in-depth interviews with over 200 service users (inpatients, day patients, outpatients, families, friends, carers and the bereaved). We have interviewed other stakeholders too including General Practitioners, District/Community Nurses, Hospital Consultants and Care Home Managers. This has resulted in over 2 million words of qualitative primary data so far.
In 2018, the research informed an All Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) into End of Life Care. In 2019 Hospice UK shared the TTT with the wider hospice community at their national conference in Liverpool
We are running a free webinar series so share information about the project. Interested in joining us? Hope so!
