What course are you currently studying?

I am studying for the MSc Digital Marketing & Analytics.

Why did you choose to study a master’s at the University of Liverpool Management School?

I completed my undergraduate degree in India, then when comes to master’s I wanted to join a prestigious institute. I felt the University of Liverpool’s mission and values will help me achieve my career goals both professionally and personally.

What’s the best thing about studying your programme?

The best part of studying my programme is the curriculum. The modules are really designed as per today's requirements and they way they are taught.

How do the facilities in the University and the Management School help you with your studies?

The library at Liverpool is great. It’s open 24/7 and there’s plenty of different study areas to suit everyone’s needs. It’s really important to have a good library especially as postgraduate studies are so independent- I spend a LOT of time there! And the Career Studio which helps us to be prepared for the job market.

What kind of support do you get from academic staff and tutors?

The support is very great. Everyone is so supportive for both academic and personal guidance. Drop-in sessions are really very helpful where we can meet staff personally to discuss all our issues.

Have you accessed any of the support services available to you, such as the School’s postgraduate careers team? If so, how did you find the service?

Yes, I accessed to Career Studio. They are very supportive. They helped me with how to build a job-ready CV, how to approach and target right companies.

What do you enjoy most about the whole experience (thinking about any trips, social and extracurricular activities or guest speakers) and what value has that added?

Every day is a new experience, and every day is an opportunity to learn something new. The University of Liverpool offers many opportunities for students to express our views, taking part in such groups has helped me a lot to overcome my fear of public speaking.

How do you believe undertaking master’s study will help your career prospects?

My studies will help my career prospects as they have given me a much deeper understanding of the areas of the marketing in depth which I’d like to specialise in, as well as helping me to network and improve my research skills.
