Why did you choose to study at the University of Liverpool Management School?

Firstly, I have chosen the University of Liverpool Management School due to its accreditations and study abroad opportunities. there is a Year in China that students can consider.

Secondly, the Management School, combined with the vibrant city, created an experience that felt right to be part of. I even attended two open days in a row just so I could live that amazing experience once again!

The University lecturers and students I have interacted with made me not want to register for any other University.


Why did you choose your course?

I was confident that the Business Management course would allow me to study topics that interest me.

I also completed a Year in Industry placement at Renault Group UK, in their marketing department.


What skills have you developed?

Communication, analytic thinking, problem-solving, teamwork, leadership, and Office365 competency skills.

I believe all these skills combined allowed me to develop into a professional individual, in which a good foundation of business knowledge has been set for future career prospects.


What surprised you the most about the University of Liverpool Management School?

The support that is available. If you are interested in a module, the support offered by the lecturers and seminar teachers will be available for you to explore the area as in-depth as possible.


Why did you choose to become a student ambassador?

I was keen to be part of a bright team and excited to represent the University as much as possible. Additionally, I was keen to assist as many prospective students as possible.


What advice would you give to someone thinking of taking a Year in Industry?

As a former placement year student, I 100% recommend it as it offers you the chance of gaining invaluable industry experience that could set you up for a graduate role.

Even if you do not enjoy the role in your placement year, you will have a stronger foundation to explore different roles in the future.

Finally, having the chance to be part of a real-life workplace can help you to be more proactive toward your studies when you return for the final year.


What have you enjoyed about living in Liverpool?

What I highly enjoyed about living in Liverpool is the number of events happening day and night, there is always something to do in Liverpool – from trying new food spots and cafes to festivals and nightlife – there is something for everyone to enjoy!

What I most enjoyed about my student experience is my personal development. I feel like I have developed a work/life balance, in which I prioritise my studies accordingly and have the time necessary to enjoy a social life.

Additionally, the flexibility of planning my own workload and being responsible for my assignments allowed me to develop into a reliable individual, which I am highly proud of!


What are your future career goals?

My future career-related goal is to pursue a Masters in Research at the University of Liverpool Management School and to apply for a PhD during this time – I am highly interested in staying in Liverpool to pursue my studies for the long run!
