Last week, final year Accounting and Finance students visited the ICAEW (Institute of Chartered Accountants England and Wales) Hall in London.
Students learned about the rich history of the Hall and got an update on the refreshed ACA syllabus, as well as gaining insight on the future of chartered accountancy. This trip also offered an important chance to network with the numerous alumni of this programme who are currently working in London.
Director of Studies for BSc Accounting and Finance, Adam Deller said:
“Students had a great chance to learn about the strategic partnership our programme has with the ICAEW, and the advantage it gives them in future professional qualifications.
They were also able to strengthen their network with our London based alumni and hear about the wide range of careers open to chartered accountants in the future.”
Reflecting on the visit, final year student Omid Hariri notes:
“This visit reinforced my interest in pursuing the ACA qualification after my studies and in becoming a member of the institute in the future.”
