
The University of Liverpool Management School is celebrating further programme ranking success with the release of the Times Good University Guide 2026. All three subject areas maintain strong top 20 positions, headlines by subject group include:
BSc Accounting and Finance 1st in Russell Group for Teaching Quality
Our BSc Accounting and Finance programme has an overall ranking of 8th out of 100 in the sector (an increase of 2 places on last year) and 5th in the Russell Group.
Business Management, International Management and Marketing programmes in the top 10 of Russell Group Universities at 10th
Our BA Business Management, BA International Management and BA Marketing programmes have risen in their sector rankings to 12th out of 119 versus 14th last year. These programmes showed strong scores for teaching quality and student experience.
Economics programmes maintain strong top 20 position
Our BSc Economics and BA Business Economics programmes have maintained a strong top 20 sector ranking at 15th out of 73 and 12th in the Russell Group. In addition, they maintain top 5 rankings within the Russell Group for teaching quality and student experience.
University-wide success
The University of Liverpool has entered the top 20 of The Times and The Sunday Times Good University Guide 2026 – its highest position in more than a decade.
The University climbs five places to 18th in the national league table, placing it second in the North West.
The ranking marks another milestone in Liverpool’s upward trajectory across both domestic and international league tables.
It follows a strong performance in the Guardian University Guide 2026, where the University rose six places to 21st earlier this week.
