The Guardian league tables rank institutions by subject, looking at student satisfaction with teaching and assessment, staff numbers per student, spending and career prospects. Pleasingly, all Management School programmes are placed in the top 20 in their respective subject areas.

Accounting and Finance enters top 10

Occupying one of the largest subject areas, we are thrilled to see our BSc Accounting and Finance programme in a top 10 position, at 9th- up two places from 2025.

In particular, Accounting and Finance have showed increases in ‘satisfaction with feedback’, ‘satisfaction with teaching’, ‘value added’ and ‘career after 15 months’.

Business and Management continues its upward momentum

Our Business and Management programmes (BA Business Management and BA International Management) have improved again, now ranked 15th.

Notable increases in this subject area included ‘satisfaction with feedback’, ‘satisfaction with teaching’ and ‘value added’.

Marketing and Economics maintain strong top 20 position

Our BA Marketing programme came out at 10th and our Economics programmes, including BSc Economics and BA Business Economics, 20th.

Both areas saw increases in scoring for ‘satisfaction with teaching’ and ‘satisfaction with feedback’.

University-wide success

The University of Liverpool has risen six places, placing 21st overall in the UK and second overall in the North West.
