Congratulations to Alan Liyu, a second year undergraduate Accounting and Finance student who has been awarded a bursary from Enactus UK and Ireland to attend the Enactus World Cup in an ambassadorial capacity.
Alan is an active member of Enactus Liverpool, who were successful in making it to the National Expo in April this year, after qualifying in the Top 20 of the UK and Ireland teams during regional rounds.
Thailand is Enactus’ newest network country, and the 25th World Cup will be taking place in Queen Sirikit National Convention Centre (QSNCC)—a premier, state-of-the-art event venue, in the heart of Bangkok.
Applications were welcomed from any active Enactus UK & Ireland Committee member who will be continuing through the next academic year, with applicants asked to demonstrate how the opportunity would contribute to the growth of their team.
Speaking on this amazing opportunity Alan said:
“I’m thrilled to be representing the University of Liverpool and the UK & Ireland delegation at the Enactus World Cup 2025. I’m most looking forward to connecting with other young changemakers from around the world and bringing back insights that will help us build meaningful projects and create positive impact for our local community through Enactus Liverpool.”
Since its inception in 2001, the Enactus World Cup has stood as a premier global stage for showcasing the power of social entrepreneurship and innovation. This event brings together the brightest minds from over 34 countries, involving more than 40,000 university students annually who compete to present impactful entrepreneurial projects. These projects not only address the Global Goals but often go on to launch new social enterprises and create sustainable careers.
We will be reporting on Alan’s trip which will be taking place at the end of September and can’t wait to see how he uses this experience to further develop Enactus Liverpool!
