Latest guest speaker highlights responsible sourcing

MBA students share their own experiences and networks with the cohort, suggesting ideas and connections of guest speakers. A recent example being, Robin Sundaram, Responsible Sourcing Manager at Nestlé.  With a three-decade-long career at Nestlé under his belt, Robin delivered an invaluable talk to our MBAs, sharing powerful insights and business knowledge as an award-winning responsible sourcing expert.

Since joining Nestlé in 1995, Robin has handled multiple roles in supply chain and sustainable sourcing and now works closely with suppliers to drive Nestlé’s positive social and environmental impact. As a veteran in his field and organisation, Robin provided students with an incredible understanding of how Nestlé works to improve its environmental footprint.

Robin highlighted Nestlé’s commitment to achieving net-zero status by 2050, and what it means for the business, supply chain and stakeholders, as well as how the organisation has already achieved its emissions reduction target of 20% for 2025.

Reflecting on the session, Liverpool MBA Shadab Ahmed, said: “It was an absolute pleasure to have Robin speak to our MBA cohort. It's not every day you get to learn directly from someone who has been so instrumental in shaping sustainability efforts at such a massive global company.”

“As a supply chain and sustainability enthusiast, this was a truly great experience. Huge thanks to Robin for sharing his deep insights and for challenging our perspectives on corporate responsibility and strategic sustainability.”
