As organisations increasingly contend with the pressures between commerce and conservation, understanding the value and cost of nature has never been more urgent.
We are proud to announce that four of our postgraduate programmes have received Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM) Accredited Degree status, offering students valuable opportunities to fast-track their professional qualifications and launch careers with impact.
From the 2025/26 academic year, the following programmes will have CIM accreditation:
For the 2025/26 academic year, the following programmes will join our undergraduate BA Marketing programme with CIM accreditation status:
- Marketing MSc
- Advanced Marketing MSc
- Digital Marketing and Analytics MSc
- Tourism Marketing and Analytics MSc (new programme for 2025/26)
This prestigious accreditation from CIM, the world’s leading professional body for marketing, allows students on these programmes to gain exemptions on CIM qualifications, meaning they may only need to complete one or two additional modules to achieve a CIM Certificate or Diploma in Professional Marketing or Digital Marketing.
As a result, students can:
- Reduce the number of CIM assessments they need to take, making it easier and faster to gain an additional, industry recognised qualification.
- Shorten the time to complete a CIM qualification by up to 66%, in some cases completing both their degree and CIM modules simultaneously.
- Join the CIM Marketing Club, gaining access to an international network of marketing professionals, resources, and career building opportunities.
Dr Natasha Clennell PGT Lead of Marketing at the University of Liverpool Management School, said:
‘’I’m incredibly proud and excited that our newly redesigned MSc Marketing programmes, launching in 2025/26 and built around a suite of 20-credit modules, have been awarded accreditation by the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM). This is a significant milestone that reflects our commitment to delivering professionally aligned, career-focused education. The CIM accreditation ensures our programmes meet the highest industry standards, giving students the opportunity to graduate not only with a master’s degree but also with the opportunity to gain an additional professional qualification; often with module exemptions that accelerate their path to Chartered Marketer status. It also connects our students to CIM’s extensive resources and global professional network. This accreditation is a powerful endorsement of our new curriculum and an exciting opportunity for our students to enhance their employability and professional development from day one.’’
Maureen Wincott, Head of Learning Partnerships at CIM, added:
“We are delighted to announce our partnership with the University of Liverpool. Students who graduate with one of these degrees are exempted from key modules of CIM’s Certificate and Diploma qualifications, enabling them to gain recognition that is highly valued by employers. We look forward to supporting the next generation of marketing talent at Liverpool.”
The CIM accreditation reinforces the University of Liverpool Management School commitment to developing ready graduates by aligning academic learning with real world business needs. For aspiring marketers, it offers a powerful head start in a competitive field.
