Dr David Cockayne, Deputy Associate Dean Postgraduate, and Dr Natasha Clennell, Postgraduate Marketing Programmes Lead, from the University of Liverpool Management School joined a wider University delegation on a high-profile visit to India, reinforcing the institution’s commitment to international collaboration and student engagement.
The week-long programme of activity saw the delegation travel to New Delhi, Bengaluru and Mumbai, taking part in agent conferences, alumni receptions, and offer holder events designed to deepen relationships with key stakeholders and prospective students.
A major highlight of the visit was the formal announcement of the University’s new campus in Bengaluru, which is due to welcome students from August 2026. The event was attended by the Vice-Chancellor and Tariq Ali, PVC International.
Dr Cockayne, who is part of the team leading postgraduate programmes at the Management School, also visited the Indian Institute of Management Indore. Discussions centred around shared priorities such as sustainability and executive development as well as exploring future opportunities for academic collaboration.
Reflecting on the visit, Dr Cockayne said:
“This trip helped reinforce our commitment to building long-term partnerships, supporting future students, and delivering global impact through research, teaching and engagement.”
Dr Clennell took part in a series of in-country engagement activities, including offer holder events where she met prospective students that she’ll be teaching on MSc Marketing, MSc Digital Marketing and Analytics, and MSc Advanced Marketing. The students were excited to share their plans and meet the academic team in advance of them starting with us in September.
They also met with alumni who were eager to share their experiences of studying at the School, and their careers since graduation.
The visit comes at a pivotal time for the University as it expands its global footprint and continues to strengthen ties with partners across South Asia. For the Management School, it underscores a strategic focus on international growth, relationship-building and delivering a world-class student experience both on campus and overseas.
