ISEP Certified Introduction to Net Zero

Introduction to Net Zero is an ISEP (Institute of Sustainability and Environmental Professionals) certified course which gives a succinct overview of what net zero means. The four sections, provide learners with a basic introduction to the concept of net zero:
- What does net zero mean?
- Why net zero?
- What can my organisation do about it?
- How should we communicate net zero in a way which avoids greenwash?
ISEP Certified Pathways to Net Zero
Duration: 2 days
Dates: 29-30 July and 23-24 Sept 2026

The ISEP Pathways to Net Zero Course is a course which gives clear, consistent guidance on best practice on response to the climate crisis with eight learning outcomes.

ISEP Certified Carbon Footprinting & Reporting
Duration: One day
Dates: 7 October and 16 December 2026

This course gives clear and practical guidance on current practices in carbon (and other forms of) quantification - its primary focus on establishing an organisational carbon footprint, as the basis for developing pathways to Net Zero. Key areas of focus that are required for you to be accepted onto numerous Global frameworks and tenders.
Introduction to CBAM
Duration: Two and a half hours
Dates: 21 October / 6 January
Place: University of Liverpool campus
This course gives a clear, practical overview of the Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM) and what it means for your organisation, how to calculate embedded emissions, how to create a Value Chain Map (VCM), how to collect and organise data for the verification requirements and how to measure and reduce your carbon tax liability.
Introduction to Environmental Product Declarations
Duration: Two and a half hours
Dates: 4 November / 20 January
Cost: £150
Place: University of Liverpool campus
This course provides a clear understanding of Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) and
Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs). Delivered by an EPD verifier. In particular it will focus on how you quantify the full environmental impact of a product across its lifecycle, the mandatory requirements for selling products in Europe , and the key steps involved in developing an EPD.
