Student Prize Giving Evening

Award winning students with the Dean at the VGM

Our annual Student Prize Giving Evening was a great way to start 2019. The evening celebrated students who have achieved distinction academically, as well as demonstrating excellence in a range of areas including leadership, innovation and advocacy.

Held in the eminent VGM building - the iconic redbrick centrepiece of the University - and attended by prize winners, their families, friends and School staff, the evening provided a chance for everyone to come together and take pride in being a part of the Liverpool School of Medicine.

Dean of the School, Professor Hazel Scott, presented the awards and took the opportunity to highlight the exceptional work of our students.

Thank you to all those who attended with a particular mention to Year 2 Student Doctor, Ioan Wardhaugh, who played his harp beautifully throughout the evening.

Congratulations to all of our winners! Check out the full list of those celebrating: School of Medicine list of Prize Winners 2019 (PDF)

Have you set your eyes on a prize?

The prizes acknowledge academic achievements as well as the wider range of non-scholastic skills that produce the versatile doctors of tomorrow.
