Who can examine? 

We welcome Doctors of all levels and specialities along with clinical health care professionals to assess the performance of our Student Doctors, the information below details the requirements for each assessment. All examiners must be registered with a recognised UK body.

  • Year 3 Clinical assessment for progression- Foundation year 2 doctors and above (there are a limited number of spaces available for foundation doctors)
  • Year 4 Clinical assessment for progression - Whilst the majority of our examiners are expected to be established consultants (or equivalent) we welcome participation from foundation year 2 doctors and above. (there are a limited number of spaces available for foundation doctors)
  • Year 5 Clinical assessment for progression - Whilst the majority of our examiners are expected to be established consultants (or equivalent) we welcome participation from doctors who have completed their foundation training and above. (there are a limited number of spaces available for trainees) Please get in touch if you are unsure of your eligibility.

NMC, HCPC, GPhC registered? – we have stations to suit a variety of other healthcare professionals, however these will be limited so please get in touch with the team to discuss.

GP locum? - further information is available here

Stations can include; consultations, physical examinations, procedural skills and data interpretation e.g. prescription writing, x-ray interpretation.
