Who can examine? 

We welcome Doctors of all levels and specialities along with clinical health care professionals to assess the performance of our Student Doctors, the information below details the requirements for each assessment. All examiners must be registered with a recognised UK body.

  • Year 2 assessment for learning- Foundation year doctors and above.
  • Year 3 assessment for progression- Doctors who have completed their foundation training and above.
  • Year 4 assessment for progression - Whilst the majority of our examiners are expected to be established consultants (or equivalent) we welcome participation from all doctors who have completed their foundation training and above. (Spaces may be limited for junior doctors)
  • Year 5 assessment for learning - Whilst the majority of our examiners are expected to be established consultants (or equivalent) we welcome participation from doctors who are ST and above. Please get in touch if you are unsure of your eligibility.

NMC, HCPC, GPhC registered? – we have stations to suit a variety of other healthcare professionals, however these will be limited so please get in touch with the team to discuss.

OSCE stations can include; consultations, physical examinations, procedural skills and data interpretation e.g. prescription writing, x-ray interpretation.
