Continuing Professional Development (CPD)
The School of Medicine offers a range of courses to provide medical practitioners with continuing professional development (CPD) opportunities. These courses aim to promote career development and support doctors in keeping up to date and fit to practise as part of their revalidation process. Many of the courses on offer are also designed for a multi-professional healthcare practitioner audience.
Our credit-bearing CPD courses can be taken as either stand-alone activity or can be used towards gaining a Postgraduate Certificate, Diploma or Masters Award through a flexible University Awards Framework.
Other CPD activity includes study days, evening lectures and seminars, which are non-credit bearing. Topics for these sessions range from specific professional updates to briefing sessions on service developments.
We work in partnership with local NHS Trusts, Liverpool Health Partners and Health Education North West (Mersey) (former Mersey Deanery) to design our high quality CPD activity, which is delivered either at our University campus or local NHS Trust sites.
