Dean's Update | November 2019

Published on

To me, November usually means boots, blown out brollies, darker nights, colder days and cramming in lots of work before the escalating bustle of December festivities. Now it also means the Artefacts Variety Show! What a triumph of talent and what tremendous energy! It really ‘made’ my November and reminded me I should visit the gym…

It was also fantastic to see so many of you at the Careers evening. When I arrived, the room was reverberating with your questions and the clinicians were glowing, lit by your enthusiasm. It was a real treat to see such a range of senior colleagues from all over Mersey coming together, purely to encourage your ambitions.

Cedar House also continues to develop. The living wall has arrived, and while it had a rather ‘dead’ smell for a week, thankfully it seems to be settling down. It’s now dark enough to see the lights in the garden and, as almost all of you have very helpfully signed the form in the e-portfolio we should be able to offer late opening of the ground floor study and hub imminently. So, looking forward to seeing some more of you all in the evenings and also greatly looking forward to the Graduation on the 2nd of those of you who have intercalated in a medical science here in Liverpool. Many congratulations in advance!
