Expert advice from over 60 clinicians

Published on

Whilst looking online for careers advice and information can be helpful, nothing quite beats being able to spend uninterrupted time with an expert.

The Medical Careers Fair is your annual opportunity to meet over 60 experienced clinicians, asking informally about patient contact, work-life balance or the length of training and amount of competition; or about any other aspect of their specialty.

  • What gives our clinicians the greatest job satisfaction?
  • What do they struggle with the most?
  • What really makes a difference to getting ‘in’?
  • If they had their time again, what advice would they give to themselves as a medical student?

The Fair is open to students from any year, whether you are a Graduate Entry Programme student in your initial year, or a final year; and whether you are at the beginning of exploring the specialities, or further down the path to a decision and just looking for more guidance.

Make sure you are deciding on a speciality with all the information available!
