Field work at Altcar
Spring has sprung for the Year 3 Student Doctors at Liverpool this March as they head out of the classroom and in the field - quite literally.
The Year 3 Leadership and Management Field Trip to Altcar is a great opportunity arising from a unique partnership between Liverpool School of Medicine and army personnel in Liverpool 208 Field Hospital.
The experience uses a series of non-medical planning and command exercises designed to push students mentally and physically - within a safe environment.
As part of the medical undergraduate curriculum, this is a new innovative approach towards leadership, developing self-awareness and team working for the doctors of tomorrow.
