2200 interviews

There have been a lot of earnest faces around campus over the past month as prospective students (and their parents) have been crossing their fingers and attending the MMIs.

This year the School successfully delivered, via the Multiple Mini Interview (MMI) format, approximately 2200 interviews. It wasn't that long ago many of you were going through the process and undoubtedly remember the anxiety and excitement.

The MMIs are a hugely important part of helping decide the generation of Liverpool Student Doctors, meeting prospective students face to face to ensure not only that they are up for the job in line with national recommendations on selection - but that they are also in line to our School’s values, and Liverpool is the right home for them. Selected applicants must demonstrate the potential for a thoughtful, caring and compassionate approach to medical practice, and have the motivation and academic excellence to benefit from, and contribute to, our School.

It is an intense few weeks on campus and it wouldn't be possible without the professionalism of the interviewers and the many hard working student doctors who support the process. The School Admissions team  in particular would like to take this opportunity to say thank you to our superb student doctors for their support.

We have received hundreds of positive comments about everyone who helped out, so thank you! Here are just a few highlights:

"The med students helping out were really nice and friendly."

"All the medical students and administrative staff were lovely."

"Very well organised, I knew where I was supposed to be at all times and staff and students were helpful and supportive throughout."

"Students were helpful and easy to talk to."

"Students were really friendly and helpful if you had any questions."
