Looking at the lovely picture above of a wildflower meadow, I am reminded that sometimes the best things come from not planning too much and simply making the most of each opportunity that presents itself.

This is something that our alumni Linda de Cossart and Brian Boyd note as being important to their career development and their enjoyment of medicine. Indeed, many of the things that present to us opportunistically can then turn into valuable experiences and accolades for the future.

And, when we have the courage to try something new, fun and friendship often follow, as seen in so many of the fantastic events that have brought such wonderful colour to our School this year.

Whether you are fishing out the tissues or waterproof mascara for graduation, or relishing in not having to study for a few weeks, I hope you will cherish the unexpectedly fun or interesting moments of this year, and look with excitement to the next set of opportunities, as they arise.
