It’s been quite a year! And we are so proud of all of your accomplishments. As we head towards the festive break, we take a moment to reflect on 2025 and some of the standout milestones and highlights our School community has achieved along the way.
Professor Andy McKeown took up the role of Dean of the School of Medicine in October and has spent the last couple of months beginning to get to grips with the mechanics behind the impact the School makes to NHS teams and the health of patients throughout the City Region – whether that be through impressive assessment results, impactful research or meaningful contributions to the local community.
These achievements are testament to a lot of hard work and dedication. This year alone, our educators have delivered 5557 teaching sessions, analysed and actioned 19,191 student comments on their learning experience, and interviewed 2000 applicants for entry in 2025.
Our students in turn have answered a whopping 258,430 questions in their AKT assessments, completed 373 innovative ‘Leading to FY1’ programmes and delivered more than 100 presentations on their clinical research at academic conferences. And we’ve captured yet more of these highlights in our 2025 Wrapped!
With enormous thanks to each and every one of you for a fantastic year, and a very Happy New Year. Bring on 2026!
