It’s been a buzzy week on campus with beaming graduates, proud loved ones and caps and gowns aplenty with December graduations in full swing. The School was very well represented, including a number of student doctors celebrating achievements from their intercalation experiences.
Graduation ceremonies took place throughout the week with graduates from across all three faculties. It was fantastic to see graduates from the School’s new BSc Acute, Critical and Emergency Care (ACE) programme, and celebrate intercalation and postgraduate experiences from courses spanning Global Healthcare Ethics, Pharmacology and Clinical Sciences.
Dr Milly Queiroz De Araujo, graduating from the MSc Palliative and End of Life Care, delivered a passionate and emotional address as chosen graduate speaker at the 4pm ceremony on Tuesday 9 December, which you can watch online.
“This MSc has been one of the most fulfilling experiences of my career. The combination of placements, community engagement, and exceptional academic support created a learning environment where I was able to grow, both professionally and personally. The UK is a global leader in palliative care, and the University of Liverpool reflected this through its academic excellence, strong integration with local providers, and meaningful global networking across the field. This experience has genuinely shaped how I understand and deliver compassionate palliative care.”
Dr Milly Queiroz De Araujo
