Course Reps, assemble!

Course Reps header

Not all heroes wear capes. These fabulous students have stepped up to represent their peers as Course Reps for this academic year. In this role, they’ll work with your Training Team Leads (TTLs) and staff across the School and wider University to optimise the course and student experience here at Liverpool.

Your Course Reps are all set up and ready to be a listening ear and champion for good, so do reach out to them along the way if you spot any areas for improvement on campus or out on placement.

But first, time for introductions! We put the same three questions to each of your Reps.

  1. Name three ‘starter pack’ items that describe you best.
  2. Gives us your top 3 priorities as Course Rep this year.
  3. Complete the sentence, “Come to me if...“

Year 1Year 1_Amani Sarodia and Mazen Daham.

Amani Sarodia and Mazen Daham

Amani Sarodia

  • Starter pack items: Coffee, copy of the lord of the ring's books, a scented candle
  • Top priorities: To be easily accessible, make effective changes, listen to the cohort’s needs.
  • Come to me if… you have any ideas on how we can improve your course experience.

Mazen Daham

  • Starter pack items: Football, technology, Quran
  • Top priorities: Organising revision sessions, decorating the multi faith area, being remembered as a unique course rep by addressing students' needs and concerns.
  • Come to me if… you want an approachable and friendly face who’s always happy to help, whether it’s personal, academic or anything in between.

GEPGEP Course Reps - Jenny Grimble and Eleanor Hoffmann

Jenny Grimble and Eleanor Hoffmann

Jenny Grimble

  • Starter pack items: A bag of ‘Colin the Caterpillar’ sweets, a hot chocolate with all the toppings, a mini hot water bottle (especially in winter).
  • Top priorities: To listen to any student from any year about any issues, to raise problems promptly, and take on board positives and negatives for all year groups, to feedback outcomes from senior team meetings and forums so you know your voices have been heard and what steps are being taken to address your thoughts.
  • Come to me if… you’re unsure who to turn to! Queries, concerns or questions – I’m happy to listen and talk through anything, whether that is about the course or not!

Eleanor Hoffmann

  • Starter pack items: Oat milk lattes, wired headphones (RIP to all the Bluetooth ones lost along the way), sweet treats.
  • Top priorities: Improving the course for my cohort and the years that follow! Being the best possible advocate for my peers. Creating a welcoming space for my year group to talk about what’s working and what isn’t
  • Come to me if… you need someone to vent to, to raise concerns, or feedback praise! I’ll do my best to make sure you’re heard.

Year 2Year 2 Course Reps Boyee Lau and Farhan Rizvon

Bonnie Lau and Farhan Rizvon

Bonnie Lau

  • Starter pack items: go to snack= satsumas (especially during winter for that extra vitamin C!) Netter Anatomy Colouring Book (I'm a visual learner who loves arts and crafts). Favourite accessory= bow.
  • Top priorities: Encourage more integration in our year to help our year feel more connected. Promote my peer's ideas to optimise the course for our cohort and future students. To act as a voice for my year.
  • Come to me if… you have any ideas to improve anything on our course or if you simply want to say hi!

Farhan Rizvon

  • Starter pack items: E-joy supermarket, a sushi bar on Myrtle street, Nashville cluck
  • Top priorities: Improve accessibility throughout the course's Canvas page to make deadlines easier to track. Create a database of questions or resources so if anyone's lost, they know where they can find the right type of support to aid their learning whether it be through mocks, block specific questions, OSCE summaries and more. Create an environment where people feel more open on giving feedback on the course so we can start to better it as a cohort.
  • Come to me if... you find a certain aspect of the course difficult to handle and need a solution to make it easier on yourself. Have any urgent feedback that you believe could vastly improve our course material or overall block quality. Want to have a cheeky shawarma!
