Proactive support during the pandemic

If you have been self-isolating or tested positive for COVID-19 you will have received an email from the Student Welfare and Support for Studies Team offering support.

We were overwhelmed by the response, we helped out with emotional support, practical support including coordinating food and medication. The positive reaction of our students was heart warming, we were deluged with thanks!

We hope you always know we are here for you.

Back to Basics

Remember the five ways to wellbeing? Concentrating on activities in these five areas, has been shown to increase your resilience and wellbeing.

Close links with placement

This Academic Year the team is working hard to increase our links with placement and streamline your support. We have put in place new ways of transferring support information to your placement team.

We are also for the first time giving you the option to write your own information to be transferred. Prepared placements = better support.

For more information on how we can support you in placement contact our team.

Feeling the pressure?

After eight months of upheaval its not surprising that we are all, at times, feeling the pressure.

Many year five students we have spoken to have made use of excellent strategies to help them cope. With OSCE looming why not give Silver Cloud Space from Stress a look, or try some quick online Stress Busters?

When you’re under pressure, it only takes a little thing to make you feel discouraged. On the other hand it only takes a little thing to make you feel stronger, more resilient and able to continue. The Wellbeing Team are resolved to try and get the little things right.

We are here for you, please don't hesitate to get in touch.
