New Student Forum

Congratulations and a warm welcome to our new Course Reps for the year!

A Course Representative (Course Rep) takes part in quality assurance and enhancement projects to help improve the standard of teaching and student experience at the School. The MBChB Programme elects 2 Course Reps for each year cohort, and 1 Graduate Entry Programme Rep, each year.

Acting as a Course Rep is a great opportunity to step into a leadership role and support your cohort for a year – and we are pleased to announce our new reps for 2020-21. Welcome!

Announcing new Student Forums

We know COVID-19 has had an impact on your learning and teaching. To help us understand your experience, the Guild are now hosting monthly Student Forums where you can discuss your thoughts with your Course Rep.

The first Forum for the School of Medicine is next week, on Monday 2nd November at 2.30pm!

You can book your place through the Guild website (and searching for our Faculty, ‘Life Course and Medical Sciences').

You can let your Course Rep know what is going well, what could be improved, and any issues you’d like to like to raise with your Department. Your Course Rep will take this feedback to your Department and help them to address it quickly.

Speaking of the new initiative, Student Voice Coordinator Ellie Jennings from the Guild said:

“The Forums are held at School level to give you the chance to speak with fellow students in your School.

This is a first step to make a positive change to your academic experience - we’re looking forward to hearing from you.

For further information on the new Student Forum, or to discuss access requirements, please don’t hesitate to drop me an email - Ellie.Jennings@liverpool.ac.uk

We look forward to hearing your views for the new year.
