Published on

Midel aged man with short hear and glasses, he is holding his hand one his forehead and smiling.

The Liverpool School of Architecture is deeply saddened to acknowledge the passing of Alan Berman — architect, educator, and esteemed scholar of James Stirling and Ted Cullinan.

Alan taught for several years at the LSA, collaborating with many members of the School. He inspired generations of students with his insight, intellect, and generosity.

An obituary has been published by the Architect’s Journal and can be accessed here.

Alan is survived by his wife, Alison, and daughters, Philippa and Zoë. Messages of condolence may be sent via email to Zoë at: zoe@studioberman.com
