At University of Liverpool, we offer a Professional Practice module (ARCH623) which runs every year from January – August. The module is offered to year-out students in practice who have completed their undergraduate programme and gained exemption from RIBA Part 1.

This four-month programme consolidates the expertise offered by our longstanding MA in Advanced Architecture into a short course that is ideal for both graduates and professionals. Develop enhanced architectural design skills and benefit from specialist options that reflect contemporary practice and technologies.

This highly practical course trains participants to carry out reliable measurements of environmental noise from a range of transportation, industrial and other sources to British Standard requirements, and to comply with the requirements of planning guidance documents. The certificate course is offered on a one-week, full time basis.

This taught master’s is available part-time and is fully recognised by the Institute of Historic Building Conservation (IHBC). You’ll work in partnership with regional, national and international heritage organisations on real-world projects, gain valuable industry contacts, and have the opportunity to undertake a work placement.

The Acoustics Research Unit (ARU) at the University of Liverpool is an accredited teaching laboratory for the Institute of Acoustics (IoA) Laboratory and Experimental methods module of the IoA Diploma in Acoustics undertaken by distance learning. Please visit the IoA website for further details.
