The LSA Architecture Society: ASOC

The Architecture Society (ASoc), run by a committee of volunteer architecture students, operates to provide its members with a social platform and a means to connect with other students from across the Bachelor, Masters, BIM and PhD courses. Once run and funded out of a small shop in the School of Architecture, the society continues to uphold its original values whilst providing an additional façade to life in and out of the School of Architecture.

In 2022, ASoc registered with the Liverpool Guild of Students and since then has enjoyed organising increasingly exciting social activities for its members. Most notable are the summer and winter balls, formal events to celebrate the end of the respective semesters, hosted at some of Liverpool’s most popular venues. In 2023, ASoc, in collaboration with the University of Liverpool Planning Society,  begun raising money for Cancer Research UK. Additionally, the society aims to provide smaller events in conjunction with the School of Architecture’s various student-led EDI groups.
