Study facilities
On-campus, the Language Lounge offers resources such as books and DVDs, and guidance from a member of the teaching staff to help you improve your English and study skills. They can recommend useful or relevant resources for your specific needs, or you can choose from a selection of graded readers, novels, grammar guides, text books and dictionaries. The University of Liverpool’s Language Lounge is a unique study facility where students at the ELC can mix with language students from across the university, find a study or social space, or take part in events.
In response to the current situation, the Language Lounge has moved online, offering online Conversation Clubs on a weekly basis for students from all backgrounds to chat in English. You can find information and resources on their website.
As well as access to resources in the Language Lounge, as a student at the English Language Centre you will have full rights to the University’s two libraries, with over 2.5 million study resources. Wi-Fi is available across campus and in your residences, and laptops are available for loan within the libraries. With both social and quiet study areas and over 2,000 computers situated across the campus, the University is set up to provide the very best environment for you to achieve academically.
If you are a student of the University of Liverpool, you will be able to access a large number of resources from both libraries online from your computer.
