Accommodation

As well as providing a high standard of language learning, the ELC are committed to providing high quality accommodation for our students, for however long you choose to study.

When you make you application for Pre-sessional English CourseActivate English or a Tailor-made Solution or are taking part in Teacher training we will recommend a form of accommodation suitable for you.

All of our accommodation options offer private single occupancy en-suite bedrooms with either single or double beds. Residences are on, or close to our campus, classrooms, and its many facilities, which include a large sports centre, restaurants and bars. They also offer private space to study or to relax, and support in case you have any issues.

  • For Pre-sessional Students

You will be invited to apply for University accommodation only once you have confirmed that you would like to accept your offer for the Pre-sessional Course and received your Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies (CAS).

If you have any questions about accommodation, you should contact our Accommodation Team who can help you with all accommodation related queries. They can be contacted via email at accommodation@liverpool.ac.uk or further information can be found on the Accommodation webpage.

If you are under 18 when you start your course at the English Language Centre you will need to arrange to live with a responsible adult. This can be either in home stay accommodation with a British family, by applying through a British Council registered accommodation agency, or with a UK Guardian who must be a family member or family friend who is well-established in the UK. The arrangements you have made will need to be approved by your parents and by the University. Please tell us about the arrangements you have made by filling in this form and sending it with your application: Accommodation Declaration Form.

Applicants hoping to bring their families with them to Liverpool should contact Liverpool Student Homes on lsh@liverpool.ac.uk.

Please note that the English Language Centre staff are unable to offer specific advice on accommodation and to find out about and book accommodation you should contact the providers listed above.
