IELTS Test Centre
IELTS is an English test that assesses your listening, reading, writing and speaking skills. It helps you develop the kind of English you need in everyday life, whether you are at college, at work or talking to friends.
IELTS Administrators are available to deal with queries Monday - Friday on ielts@liverpool.ac.uk. All booking related queries must be directed via email.

IELTS One Skill Retake
IELTS One Skill Retake Retake just one skill, not the whole test, if you need to improve your score. This is available once your results are released and you can access the service through your online account in the 'Exam result' section. If you cannot see an available date, please email us.
IELTS tests
There are two IELTS tests:
- IELTS Academic tests the English skills you’ll need in a learning environment like a university or college
- IELTS General Training tests the everyday language skills that you use at work or while socialising.
Please note that we are not a UK Visa and Immigration test centre. For SELT approved tests please follow this link to search for your nearest test centre.
There are the four skills covered during the test:
- Listening
- Reading
- Writing
- Speaking.
