The International English Language Testing System (IELTS) assesses the English language proficiency of people who want to study or work where English is used as the language of communication. IELTS is jointly owned by British Council; IDP: IELTS Australia and Cambridge Assessment English.
IELTS is the world's most widely accepted English language test for study, work and migration. It is recognized by over 10,000 organizations globally, is accepted in 140 countries and millions of tests are taken each year.
Unlike many other English tests, IELTS uses a one-to-one speaking test to assess your English communication skills. This way, your speaking skills are assessed in a personal conversation and a natural speaking environment.
