Diploma in Acoustics and Noise Control by Distance Learning: Laboratory and Experimental Methods Module
The Acoustics Research Unit (ARU) at the University of Liverpool is an accredited teaching laboratory for the Institute of Acoustics (IoA) Laboratory and Experimental methods module of the IoA Diploma in Acoustics undertaken by distance learning. The Laboratory Schools take place in a state of the art laboratory complex. We run the laboratory schools in November and February each year.

The November school experiments are; Screening and enclosure of a noise source, subjective acoustics, measurement of acoustic absorption coefficient and measurement of sound power level.
The February experiments are; The FFT analyser, sound insulation in buildings, indoor acoustics and measurement of vibration.
More information about the course and how to enrol is available on the IoA web site https://www.ioa.org.uk/courses/diploma-in-acoustics-and-noise-control.
