Yingke Law Firm has generously agreed to provide internship opportunities for University of Liverpool LLM graduates. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain experience with such a prestigious global law firm. 

Internship details

  • Estimated start date: September 2025 (can be tailored based on students’ needs)
  • Length of placement: Up to three months (can be tailored based on students’ needs)
  • Location: Beijing, China
  • Visa information: Yingke are not able to provide direct visa sponsorship to students, but can offer a reference letter or proof of internship to help with visa applications.

Who can apply

The eligible students should satisfy the following criteria:

  • Have overall average results in your LLM of more than 60% (Merit)
  • Expected to graduate in December 2025
  • Have no conflict of interest vis-à-vis Yingke Law Firm
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Time management skills with the ability to prioritise work, work effectively and maintain composure under pressure and meet set deadlines
  • Proofreading skills, a keen eye for detail and a high level of accuracy with work production
  • Able to conduct research and source information to a high quality

  • One academic reference
  • Personal statement (1-2 pages) (detailing how you meet the ideal candidate criteria)
  • Transcript of your LLM modules
  • Evidence of English language ability (international applicants only)

Interview date (online): Monday 5 August 2025 (time TBC)

Internship start date: Between dissertation submission (16 September 2025) and LLM graduation (week commencing 8 December 2025), precise dates to be agreed between the intern and Yingke Law Firm.
