Medical Applications

Medical applications of physics investigated in the Department include the development of novel imaging techniques, work on detecting and treating cancer, the use of nanomaterials and techniques, and the development of AI-based tools for medicine.
Sustainable Technology
Quantum Science and Technology Developments (QSTD)

Active research includes the development of quantum sensors and detectors for fundamental and applied science; atom interferometry; precision measurements involving cold, trapped ions; quantum error correction; and more.
