Muon Precision Physics
Highly precise measurements and searches for very rare processes, provide an opportunity to probe nature for evidence of new physics that is beyond the reach of even the most powerful colliders. Liverpool are one of the leading groups worldwide in muon precision physics with an extensive research programme across multiple current and planned experiments. We make precise measurements of the magnetic and electric dipole moments of the muon and search for, forbidden, lepton-flavour-violating muon decays. Our muon physics programme is supported by the Science and Technology Research Council and by The Leverhulme Trust.
