Outreach in the CTL

Central Teaching Hub at the University of Liverpool‌

Many of the Physics Outreach Activities are hosted in The University of Liverpool’s unique, multidisciplinary facility - the Central Teaching Hub or CTH.  This set of 8 laboratories and ecological garden provide students and visitors with access to a wide range of research-grade and teaching equipment.  Whether it is X-raying kinder eggs to find the best prize, exploring space in the planetarium or investigating the nuclides in soil samples from local geological sites, we have the environment and equipment to make an inward visit highly memorable. 

The CTH hosts academics from the Faculty of Science and Engineering who put on schools outreach and workshops including the signature STEM sessions for year 12 students, Science Jamboree for Beavers, Cubs and Brownies and the IOP's Physics Teacher Conference.
