Expectations of studying online

As highlighted on the ELC website, the Pre-sessional course is an intensive, full-time course. In addition to your timetabled classes with your tutor, there will also be daily self-study tasks (homework) and some of these may require you to work with your classmates outside the timetabled schedule.

Please make sure you have a quiet place to study at home, with no interruptions or distractions.

Online policy

You should familiarise yourself with the policies to understand the responsibilities of tutors and students when working online. These include

• Making sure you have the right equipment
• Learning how to use the new tools (don’t worry we will train and help you do this!)
• Checking your notifications and emails every day
• Responding to chats
