Rankings success in Guardian University Guide 2019
Archaeology, Classics and Egyptology has been recognised once again in the Guardian University Guide 2019, with Archaeology now ranked as 2nd in the UK.
Classics and Ancient History have also gained recognition, rising to 13th in the UK from a position of 16th in the 2018 guide.
Keith Dobney, Head of Archaeology, Classics and Egyptology at University of Liverpool said:
Our enhanced Guardian league table performance directly reflects the the hard work and dedication of both staff and students in the Department and is testament to ongoing goals in providing broader experience and opportunities for our students and making them more active partners in all our endeavours.
The Guardian University Guide says of their rankings:
