Welcome to the Liverpool School of Architecture

The Liverpool School of Architecture (LSA) was established in 1894, and was the first UK university to award a RIBA validated degree in the subject. We are proud of our long and distinguished tradition as one of the UK's premier centres for architectural research and education. LSA is currently placed in the top 150 institutions in the world (QS World University Subject Rankings 2026) and 10th in the UK (The Guardian Best UK Universities 2026) for Architecture.

Stories and/as Evidence: Woman, Architecture, 1968

As feminist scholars have argued, more is needed than simply “adding” women to history. This talk reflects on what this “more” might constitute, drawing on recent, and ongoing, research focusing on the field of architecture in the period after 1968.
