The University of Liverpool has been ranked 21st in the UK for Law in The Complete University Guide 2026 subject league table, rising six places from last year’s position.

The Complete University Guide league tables rank the best universities in the UK, overall and by subject, guiding prospective students in their higher education decision-making.

Its Law subject league table assesses over 100 institutions based on six key measures: entry standards, student satisfaction, research quality, continuation rates, graduate prospects – outcomes, and graduate prospects – on track.

This significant rise reflects Liverpool Law School’s ongoing commitment to academic excellence, outstanding teaching and a supportive student experience.

Head of Liverpool Law School, Professor Rob Stokes, said: “These results are a testament to our staff’s commitment to shaping the next generation of legal minds and to producing research that addresses real-world challenges. We’re proud that Liverpool continues to be recognised as a leading destination for law students.”
