Professor Valsamis Mitsilegas joins the panel at the 10th edition of the CEPS Ideas Lab, 'Moving Europe from Darkness into Light', held in Brussels, Belgium, on 28 February - 1 March 2023. The 2023 edition of Ideas Lab examined how the EU has fared in facing up to the challenges of the last year and critically examined what has worked and what still needs to be changed.

As a panel member for 'Crisis in EU-US Data Flows', Professor Mitsilegas joins the discussion on attempts to develop a transatlantic level-playing field on data transfers and data protection.

The Ideas Lab is the flagship event of one of the leading EU policy think-tanks, the Centre for European Policy Studies (CEPS). It brings together high-level participants from politics, policy, international organisations, consultancy, and academia to discuss cutting-edge issues in the development of European integration and global governance.

The aim of Ideas Lab is to provide a high-level intellectual forum for exchanges concerning the wide range of current and pressing issues faced by the EU. The discussions are open, insightful and impactful, with the active involvement of policymakers, researchers, and representatives from industries and the civil society.
