Programme fees

Grants and bursaries available to students

Services for which the university is entitled to recover a fee together with those fees

  • The Accommodation Office provides information about student accommodation available together with accommodation agreements, fees, damage deposits and other charges.
  • The University contracts Kids in Bloom to provide childcare at our purpose built Children’s Centre. For more information, please visit the Kids in Bloom website .
  • Information about the range of printing services offered, including pricing is available on the print website.
  • Sport Liverpool offers a range of sport, health and fitness services. Membership is available to everyone, both within and outside the University.

Health including medical services

We offer a range of health services in and around the University, including an on-campus General Practice.

The University Occupational Health Service provides services to protect health of staff and students, at work, in training, and in study, to assess fitness for work, training and study, and to help manage health issues effectively.

Study support

  • Within each academic School, support for individual students is managed by both the Academic Advisor and the School’s Learning and Teaching Support Officers (LTSOs). LTSOs are largely responsibility for providing initial advice and guidance on pastoral issues (i.e. issues of a personal nature which may impact on studies – health, finance, family problems).  Academic Advisors provide support for academic studies.
  • KnowHow provides students with academic support via online tutorials or workshops/webinars.

Alumni

The Development and Alumni Relations team provide a wide range of services to University alumni.

Music, museums, art, libraries, special collections and archives, and other cultural activities

  • The University Library offers physical and online resources, academic support to help students develop study skills, access to bookable study spaces and subject specific support from Liaison Librarians. The Library Catalogue is publicly available.
  • The University of Liverpool Repository is an open access repository for research undertaken at the University of Liverpool.
  • The Victoria Gallery & Museum holds our collection of objects from the long history of the University of Liverpool.
  • The Garstang Museum houses our collection of archaeological artefacts, from the ancient Near East, Mediterranean and Europe.
  • The Department of Music offers a programme of concerts and events throughout the year. Some of these will be based within The Yoko Ono Lennon Centre which houses the Tung Auditorium.
  • Ness Botanic Gardens is based on the Wirral peninsula features a diverse variety of plants across 64 acres.
  • Special Collections & Archives offers access to manuscripts and archives, medieval to modern, early and finely printed books, and science fiction collections.

Sports and recreational facilities

Sport Liverpool offers a range of sport, health and fitness services. Membership is available to everyone, both within and outside the University.

Conference and event facilities

Our Conference Team manage our event management services. We offer facilities for conferences, meetings, training sessions, social events, and dinners etc. The Victoria & Gallery Museum can host weddings, award ceremonies, business dinners etc. Ness Gardens has a number of spaces available to hire for business meetings, conferences and weddings.

Links with employers and sponsors in both the public and private sectors

  • Research, Partnerships and Innovation work with external partners to develop new research initiatives or partnerships and access consultancy, facilities, and funding.
  • Careers & Employability work in partnership with local, national, and global recruiters to access the talent of our students and graduates.

Other services to the public

  • The Dental School requires patients for the training of dental students and offer free dental treatment. Dental students treat members of the public under the supervision of a qualified dentist. Treatment is available only in term-time, Monday to Friday between 9am – 5pm when students are available.
  • The Veterinary School runs two first-opinion referral practices offering a range of clinical services for horses, livestock, and small animals.
