Modelling the Role of Climate Change in Early Human Behavioural Evolution
Biography
Rachel completed her BSc the University of Liverpool in Evolutionary Anthropology and her MSc at the University of York in Sustainability Science. She has worked on a range of excavation and survey projects in the UK, Greece, Jordan and Zambia.
Rachel is a co-organiser of the University of Liverpool Evolutionary Anthropology Webinar Series, which runs weekly throughout the semester.
Research interests
Rachel researches how climate change articulates with human evolution in the Middle Pleistocene, through climate envelope modelling and related methods. This research is supervised by Professor Matt Grove and Professor Larry Barham.
Rachel is interested in holistic, long-term perspectives on human behaviour, which shape our attitudes and responses to present challenges.
