John Baker
Heritage Management In Southwestern Türkiye, Post Natural Disaster
Biography
Following the completion of my BA and MA in Ancient History at the University of Liverpool, I have worked professionally as an archaeologist in the UK for a number of commercial units for a period of five years.
In these roles, I came to specialise in historic buildings and ran a number of dig sites across the country.
I have also worked in public service as a caseworker and technical manager for the Home Office in Liverpool for three years.
I am presently a part-time PhD student at the University of Liverpool. I also work in the Planning Department for Cheshire West and Chester Council.
Research interests
I am presently conducting research into urban expansion following natural disaster and the impact that this has on the management and preservation of heritage assets.
