Biography
Charlotte is a current PhD candidate in Archaeology with research focusing on the misrepresentation of women in Roman Britain through a mortuary comparative model with Late Iron Age Britain. In addition to PGR research, Charlotte has taught undergraduate modules on Ruling the Roman Empire, An Introduction to Roman History, and Empires and Citizens. Charlotte has given talk at academic conferences, archaeological societies and museums that has imparted her knowledge on women in Roman Britain through burial and funerary epigraphy contexts. She was also recently invited to give an interview with BBC Radio Leeds on the Romano-British tombstone at Ilkley, West Yorkshire.
Research interests
Charlotte’s research interests are primarily on burials of females in Roman Britain, however also includes Late Iron Age Britain and Romano-British funerary epigraphy.
