Student work in 2018/19 recognised with department awards

A group of students in the University of Liverpool's Department of Archaeology, Classics and Egyptology have recently been awarded departmental prizes for their outstanding work in the 2018/19 academic year.

Head of Department Professor Keith Dobney said:

Congratulations to the following students whose hard work and dedication during the 2018/19 academic year has resulted in them being recognised as award winners for the following prestigious Departmental prizes:

Thomas Hornby Scholarship

Best performance in Greek in the Year 1 or Year 2 examinations. Best performance in Greek in the preliminary or Part 1 examinations.

Eric Marsden Prize

Best performance in Ancient History in the First part of the Final examination in the Schools of Classics, Archaeology, History and Combined Honours.

Postgate Prize

Special merit in the Year 2 examinations for the Degree of BA with Honours (Greek and Latin) in the School of Classics. Special merit in the Part 1 examination for the Degree of BA with Honours (Greek and Latin) in the School of Classics.

Dawson Turner Prize

Conspicuous merit in the Final Year examination of the Honours School of Classics.
