We will do everything we can to make your stay in University accommodation as safe and enjoyable as possible.

All of our residences have high levels of security with swipe card or fob access round-the-clock security patrols and call-out.

Additionally we have friendly, trained teams you can speak to about any concerns you have about your accommodation, studies or well-being...


Our student villages have live-in academic pastoral care for our students and this is something that we feel really makes a big difference to our students well-being.

Every residence has a team of advisers who live on-site and are available in the evening and through the night if you have an emergency.

This team can advise you on budgeting, student grants, loans and tuition fees, debt referral, benefits entitlement and other funding sources.

Student Health Advice Centre (SHAC)

SHAC is based at our Carnatic Student Village and is staffed by Nurses who can treat minor injuries or ailments and advise you on health issues.

Situated on campus, close to the Student Support Centre, this is a full medical practice with its own team of doctors and nurses.
