Dynamical processes

Facilitating the understanding of photochemical and photophysical processes, through analysis of induced process in photoactive materials, by laser excitation at very short timescales (femto second) allowing the relaxation and consequences of these processes to be followed. The facility aids development of new photo active materials (Photo Voltaic, Photo Catalysis and electrochemistry).

Early Career Laser Laboratory (ECLL)

Our facility utilises short duration laser pulses at high repetition rates to study photochemical and electrochemical processes of new materials in the areas of photovoltaics, (photo-)electrochemistry and photocatalysis.

Low Energy Ion Scattering Facility (LEIS)

Low-energy ion scattering (LEIS) is a method of determining the composition of the outer atomic layers of a material’s surface. This region is inherently involved in processes such as growth, etching, adsorption, adhesion, and others.
