Our Specialist Areas
You can combine the study of specific periods and genres such Medieval Literature or American Poetry with thematic modules such as Science Fiction, Women's Writing, Postcolonialism or The Gothic. You can combine your study of literature with language topics such as sociolinguistics, discourse analysis, psycholinguistics, pragmatics. Or you can take creative writing and theatre modules which will enable you to develop your own creative and critical practice.
Through our internationally recognised research we are constantly evolving our curriculum. Our programmes cover literary and linguistic approaches to topics ranging from courtly love to climate change.
