English Degree Programmes

Our programmes chart how literature and language have developed over time, from the middle ages to the present. You can study a single honours programme in English, specialising in literature, language, or a balance of the two; or you can combine any of the three pathways with another subject through the University's Combining Subjects scheme.

English Attainment Scholarship

The English Attainment Scholarship is awarded annually to the two Year 1 students with the best performance in Single Honours or Major (75%) English programmes, and continuing at Single Honours or Major level for Years 2 and 3. Read more
