How is my application dealt with?
After you apply
Once we have received your application you will receive an email acknowledgment and your application will be carefully considered by admission staff. Some of our departments may invite applicants to attend an interview or ask some applicants to provide further information. We will contact you directly by email if this applies to your application. Once a final decision is made, we will notify UCAS, and you will be able to view our decision on UCAS Track.
For a more detailed description about what happens after you apply, you can read our step-by-step guides:
Undergraduate Admissions Policy
At Liverpool, we believe in treating each application individually on its own merits. In order to help applicants and their advisers to understand how we approach admissions, we publish our Undergraduate Admissions Policy.
Original or certified academic transcripts
For students who require entry clearance to study in the UK, you will need a Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies (CAS). Once you have met all the conditions of your offer we require your academic documents before we can issue your CAS.
The University requires all applicants to provide original academic documents (academic transcript, degree certificate and evidence of English language) which verify their successfully completed qualifications. For international applicants we are directed by the UK Border Agency to request this evidence. We will accept copies of academic documents during the application process, or you can send in original documents to the postal address at the bottom of this page. If you send in copies of your documents during the application process, the originals must be presented when you register at the University. On receiving any original documents in the post we will check these and return them to you promptly via a recorded postal service to the address we hold for you on record.
If you have applied to us using one of our recognised international representatives (agents) it is not necessary for you to send your original documents to us during the application process, however you must show your international representative these documents for verification and present them during registration.
We require all transcripts to be officially translated (if they are not issued in English) which can be done either by an official translation company, a British Council office or by your school/college/university. Please send all documentation to the Undergraduate Admissions Team at our address below as soon as possible. This will avoid unnecessary delays.
Any programme offers that are made will be conditional on receipt of academic documentation. If you choose to provide copies of academic documentation during the application process then original academic documents (including English language) will be required at the point of registration.
We regret that the Undergraduate Admissions Team will NOT be able to return certified copies of documents, but all original documents received will be returned to the address provided.Undergraduate Admissions Team
