The Vision and Stroke patient and public group is a group of lay people who advise on guidelines, practice, research proposals and other relevant documentation in relation to visual impairment following stroke.
The panel includes stroke survivors with visual impairment as well as carers of stroke survivors.

What do we do?
In line with their Terms of Reference, the group provide an experience base and a voice for stroke survivors and carers. We act as a sounding board, on behalf of stroke survivors, to support research activity.
What is our purpose?
The aims of our panel are:
1. To review vision and stroke research protocols
2. To generate research ideas
3. To report information and concerns from stroke survivors and carers to relevant organisations and charities.
When do we meet?
We meet three times per year – once as a face-to-face meeting in Liverpool and twice as a telephone meeting call.
